Bud's Vacuum Sales and Services opens sister location

Rise above permitting, Cape Sew and Vac will hold a grand opening Saturday. The cooperative store, which merged with Cottage Quilts in Jackson, is an authorized traffic for Babylock sewing, quilting and embroidery machines as well as a wholesaler for Simplicity vacuums.
Both products are made in the USA, which co-owner Terri Bauer said is a plate-mark of their business. The store is a sister location of Bud's Vacuum Sales and Services on William Road.
"We're trying to sell American-made as much as we can," Bauer said. "People are so alert of what the economy is and isn't doing right now. It's our responsibility to make unshakeable we keep our country and community alive and well."
Bauer said their co-op give credence to at 705 William St. is not closing and will still handle all repairs on sewing and vacuum paraphernalia.
Cape Sew and Vac plans to open 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Tuesday through Thursday, 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Friday and 10 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Saturday. The phone bevy is 335-9272.
"This merger with the Jackson sewing business has made it easy on both of our shops," Bauer said. "So we're sticking out our neck here and praying a lot."
