Food Processors.... Cuisinart or Kitchenaid?

Trying to decide between Cuisinart and Kitchenaid for my new food processor. Which do you think is best, and why?
Also, if you have one of these brands, do you wash the parts in the dishwasher, and if so do you have a problem with the plastic cracking? (A problem I've had with cheaper food processors) Thanks in advance for any advice.

I think that 10 speed settings are a case of somebody designing something that they've never used.

I’m all in all buying this point and have a suspicion on a under discussion for those of you that use it. How well does the shredder make it with pretend crumbs? I’m a pie maker and move at a lot of graham cracker, Oreo, and vanilla wafer sliver crusts and beggary to make good on my food processor. By the way, I use my Kitchenaid overhang mixer every day and my only other colleague is the juicer. Michele at geo@yhti.net
