It seems like for a guy, unusually a single one, I cook a lot. I have one of the Hamilton Beach blender/food processor combination units, and for me it works darned well. Essentially a blender and food processor are the same unit, with slight variation in the blade intend and bowl shape. For some one that cooks for one or two people the combination units are matchless since generally the food processor part has a very limited capacity. Generally capacity isn't an topic, and the variable speeds of the blender base are useful, but I could see for a family of four (if all four people eat like I do), a conspiracy unit wouldn't work. Every now and then when I have lots of friends over, and I'm cooking something that requires or is made easier by a food processor, I end up using two batches, however, in ill-defined, I like the unit I have.
